Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, don call on politicians from Northern Nigeria wey dey interested in the presidency to wait till 2031 before dem pursue the position.
Yusuf make the statement on Sunday for Government House, Kano, while e unveil 50 vehicles wey Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, donate to support APC campaign mobilisation ahead of the 2027 election.
According to the governor, presidential power should continue to rotate between the North and South, with each region getting opportunity to produce president for two terms. E said allowing each region complete two terms fit give government enough time to carry out major policies and development programmes.
Yusuf therefore urged Northern political stakeholders to support President Bola Tinubu to complete a second term from 2027 to 2031, after which, according to him, power should return to the North. E also called on politicians to focus on issues, policies and development plans and avoid personal attacks and statements wey fit cause tension ahead of the 2027 election.
